Weather resistant rubber grommets provide edge protection at cable passages where the compound must also suit environmental exposure. An entry under a sheltered cover faces different conditions from one exposed directly to sunlight and rain. Describing the location helps identify the material requirements more accurately than requesting weather resistance without further detail.
Specify whether the rubber is exposed to sunlight, temperature changes, standing moisture or cleaning products. Include how long the assembly is expected to remain in that environment and any project test criteria. ETOL offers several material options, but the proposed compound should be confirmed for the stated conditions rather than selected solely by a familiar material name.
The panel fit still needs its own check. Measure the opening, sheet thickness and cable envelope, then verify that the retaining flange sits evenly. An open grommet protects an edge; additional sealing may be necessary if the enclosure must prevent water entering around the cable.
During servicing, inspect exposed portions for cracking, stiffening or loss of seating. Look at the sheltered side as well, particularly where water or debris can collect. Keep the material specification with the dimensions so future replacements preserve the agreed environmental requirements rather than merely matching the outside shape.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The panel fit still needs its own check. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
