A silicone rubber numeric keypad should provide clear number targets while its common base stays aligned with the device. Custom molding allows the key pitch, face size, and surrounding structure to follow the housing. The visible layout and underside support need to be developed together.
Check movement between rows and columns during ordinary entry. Buttons near the perimeter may have different clearance from those at the center. The base should remain located during a press rather than pulling a neighboring face against its opening.
Evaluate the complete keypad with the enclosure fully assembled, including release after a held key. Choose identification suited to the normal viewing angle and the selected cleaning process. During installation, keep the underside clean and inspect for trapped rubber before fastening the case. If servicing requires removal, preserve the original orientation and contact relationship. Recheck the complete number sequence after reassembly so that a small shift in the mat does not affect several controls at once.
