A cone rubber grommet can provide a shaped transition where a cable passes through a panel cutout. Its panel-engaging section covers the opening edge, while the conical region should suit the cable route beyond the panel.
Define the opening and panel thickness before selecting the retained profile. The cable passage and cone length then need to accommodate the actual cable size and exit direction. A long transition is useful only if the surrounding assembly leaves room for it without forcing an immediate bend.
Prepare the cutout by removing burrs and loose particles. Seat the grommet around the full edge before completing the cable route, checking that the retaining portion has not folded. Support the cable as required by the assembly rather than relying on the grommet to carry excessive pull. During maintenance, inspect the cone where the cable changes direction and recheck the panel seat after routing changes that alter the angle or load at the opening.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The panel-engaging section covers the opening edge, while the conical region should suit the cable route beyond the panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
