A soft rubber sealing washer is easiest to judge when supported by the parts that will surround it. Pressing the loose washer between fingers shows only one kind of deformation. The joint may restrain the same material across broad faces or press it beneath a much narrower contact.
Consider where the load enters the washer. A narrow shoulder can leave a deep local impression while the rest of the face remains lightly contacted. Changing to softer rubber may increase that difference rather than improve the joint. The custom profile should place material where the assembly actually supports and uses it.
Compare candidate constructions in the same mating components so that a change in feel is not confused with a change in geometry. Keep the selected compound suitable for the substances reaching the washer. After assembly, examine whether the contact remains in its intended region and whether the washer has migrated toward an unsupported edge. If the joint does not seat correctly, investigate that relationship before choosing an even softer version. Softness is a material choice within the design, not a correction for every fit problem.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
