A thick silicone washer provides a deeper flexible section within a gasket joint, but additional thickness does not automatically improve sealing. The mating space, support faces, and fastening arrangement determine how that material compresses and whether it remains in its intended position.
Check the available gap alongside the inner opening and outside diameter. A thick ring may bulge outward or inward as the joint closes, particularly if part of its face is unsupported. The hard components should meet the intended assembly condition without forcing the washer into an uncontrolled flattened shape.
Evaluate water exclusion on the complete connection under the specified exposure rather than inferring a rating from the ring thickness. Observe the joint after fastening for displacement or uneven contact around the perimeter. On removal, inspect for a distorted cross-section, cuts, or evidence that the washer was pinched at one edge. If those patterns recur, review the seating geometry and compression arrangement before selecting an even thicker replacement.

Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
