Product Overview

Elastic rubber O-rings provide a circular sealing element within a custom joint. Their diameter and section should match the receiving groove and the space available under compression. Elasticity helps the rubber deform, but it does not make an arbitrary ring size suitable for every opening.

Check the groove and mating surfaces together. The ring needs room to change shape without being pinched or extruded into an unsupported gap. The selected compound should suit the medium, temperature, and any movement at the interface. Hardness is one part of that choice rather than a complete performance specification.

Install the ring cleanly without twist or unnecessary stretch, avoiding sharp edges during assembly. Keep it seated as the adjoining parts close and inspect for displaced sections. Evaluate the complete joint under its intended conditions. During maintenance, examine the receiving surfaces for wear or damage before replacing the ring. A new seal should restore the designed geometry, not compensate for an uneven seat or incorrect alignment elsewhere in the assembly.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. Elasticity helps the rubber deform, but it does not make an arbitrary ring size suitable for every opening.
Custom dimensions

Fit & assembly
A new seal should restore the designed geometry, not compensate for an uneven seat or incorrect alignment elsewhere in the assembly.
Use & inspection
During maintenance, examine the receiving surfaces for wear or damage before replacing the ring.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
