Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A silicone rubber stopper for food-related use should be developed around the actual contents and container opening. The formulation must suit the intended contact and cleaning conditions, while the molded profile establishes fit. A general food-grade description should remain tied to the finished application for which the part is selected.
Check the opening, usable depth, and any retaining feature. The stopper should seat without an uneven edge and leave a practical handling area for removal. Its compound and geometry need to be considered together rather than selecting a replacement solely by visible size.
Keep the contact region clean during fitting and follow the container's intended care process. Inspect hidden surfaces where residue may remain after the exposed portion looks clean. The complete container determines its operating limits and preservation use, if any. Replace a torn or permanently distorted stopper with the correct compatible formulation and profile rather than substituting another silicone piece that was developed for a different contact environment.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A silicone rubber stopper for food-related use should be developed around the actual contents and container opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
