Flexible flat rubber gaskets and seals should be replaced with the section required by the joint, not merely with a ring of similar outside size. This custom silicone option can follow the mating outline and closing space. The seat determines whether the interface needs a flat washer-like section or another ring profile.

A used seal may have changed shape under compression, so its current thickness is not necessarily the original specification. Match the required dimensions of the joint instead of copying distortion.
