Product Overview

A food grade rubber gasket provides a compliant seal for a specifically designed food-contact assembly. Silicone formulation and custom dimensions should be selected for the intended contents, temperature and cleaning conditions. The rubber needs support from the joint's sealing land to maintain the designed contact.

Compare the gasket's inner edge with the opening it surrounds. An edge projecting into the flow or contents area can deform differently from a fully supported section and may become harder to clean. The outer edge and any locating features also need enough room to sit without folding.

Evaluate the selected compound and completed joint for the actual food-contact application. Suitability belongs to that formulation and use, rather than to every rubber material available in the same shape. During fitting, keep surfaces free of particles and let the gasket lie flat before closing the assembly. Inspect accessible edges after fastening. When servicing, examine the contact pattern and any trapped residue before choosing a replacement. Preserve the intended section and formulation so the original contact and cleaning assessment remains applicable to the rebuilt joint.

Material options
Silicone. Custom formulation and color for the intended contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Silicone: 20–80 Shore A. During fitting, keep surfaces free of particles and let the gasket lie flat before closing the assembly.
Custom dimensions
Suitability belongs to that formulation and use, rather than to every rubber material available in the same shape.
Fit & assembly
An edge projecting into the flow or contents area can deform differently from a fully supported section and may become harder to clean.
Use & inspection
When servicing, examine the contact pattern and any trapped residue before choosing a replacement.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
