Rubber sealing grommets can be disturbed after their first installation when the wire route is secured elsewhere. A clip, connector, or cover added later may pull the sleeve and alter the retained position at the opening. The final cable arrangement therefore needs to be present when the entry is inspected.
Seat the panel-engaging section first using the intended profile for the opening. Complete the surrounding wire route without using the rubber sleeve to draw an off-center cable into line. Then examine the panel perimeter again, especially the side toward which the cable bends. A retaining lip can lift there while the opposite side remains apparently fitted.
Custom dimensions coordinate the passage with the wire jacket and the panel interface with wall thickness. Select the compound for the actual warm-service conditions where relevant, without assuming an unspecified heat limit. Any sealing requirement belongs to the completed entry. During later wiring changes, repeat the panel inspection rather than checking only that the wire still passes through the sleeve. Preserve the developed supports so cable weight is not transferred to the grommet.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A clip, connector, or cover added later may pull the sleeve and alter the retained position at the opening. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
