Product Overview

An extruded silicone washer is customized around the cross-section and dimensions required by a sealing interface. Relevant locations can include pipe connections, bottle closures, and equipment assemblies, each with its own mating surfaces. The finished washer profile should match the intended seat rather than simply occupy the available space.

Check the inner and outer boundaries of the seal. The washer should cover the required contact area without obstructing a passage or extending into an unsupported gap. Its thickness needs to suit the closure position and the planned compression. A profile that fits loosely before assembly still requires assessment after the joint is secured.

Select the silicone configuration for the actual medium, temperature, and cleaning exposure. The manufacturing method does not establish a universal heat or pressure capability. Keep the sealing faces clean and avoid stretching the washer into a mismatched seat. During service, inspect for cuts or an uneven contact pattern, and review the mating surfaces if a replacement develops the same localized damage.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
