Product Overview

A silicone rubber gasket provides a custom compliant interface around an opening, with round washer forms available for circular joints. It can be developed for equipment housings, bottle mouths or pipeline interfaces where the selected silicone formulation suits the contact conditions. Dimensions follow the mating parts and the amount of space available when the joint is closed.

Identify what stops the joint from closing further. A fixed shoulder, housing face or separate fastening arrangement can determine the final gap and therefore the room left for the gasket. Choosing thickness without this reference can lead to insufficient contact or prevent the assembly from reaching its intended position.

Place the gasket against a clean supporting face and keep its opening aligned with the passage or component inside it. Check that it remains in place while the second part approaches, especially where the joint closes out of view. For repeated servicing, inspect the seat for deposits and the gasket for distortion. Keep replacement dimensions and formulation consistent with the joint instead of using a ring selected only by appearance.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
