Match the attachment and installation method
An oil seal needs a profile and formulation suited to the actual interface where oil must be retained or excluded. A stationary face joint and a moving shaft interface have different design requirements, so the component should be specified for its intended arrangement rather than selected from the broad description alone.
Identify the oil, operating conditions, and mating geometry. Silicone formulations should not be assumed compatible with every lubricant or temperature. The working contact needs appropriate support and surface condition, and the installation path must avoid damaging the molded edge before the part reaches its seat.
Evaluate the completed assembly for the required sealing behavior. A low-price title does not establish current cost, pressure capability, or expected service life. During inspection, look for local damage and changes in material condition, and examine the surrounding components if the same issue recurs. Replacing a part only by matching its outside dimensions can leave the original formulation, contact geometry, or assembly problem unresolved.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
