Product Overview

A pipe rubber sleeve with a tapered form can fit a changing profile along a defined length. The custom shape should match the mating component at both ends and through the transition between them. Silicone is an available choice for a soft sleeve, with the precise compound selected for the intended environment.

Compare the internal dimensions along the sleeve rather than measuring one end alone. A taper that differs from the receiving surface can make the part tight at one location and loose elsewhere. Wall thickness and overall length also affect how the sleeve sits once fitted.

Install the sleeve in its intended direction without rolling an edge beneath the body. Check that it reaches the required position without bunching at the smaller end. The surrounding assembly should leave room for any expected movement and should not pinch the sleeve against a sharp edge. If the component is removed during servicing, inspect the inner contact area for damage before refitting. A soft sleeve should not be assumed to provide a pressure-rated pipe connection without evaluation of that complete arrangement.

Material options
Custom silicone compound; formulation and geometry developed together.
Hardness selection
Silicone options: 20–80 Shore A. A taper that differs from the receiving surface can make the part tight at one location and loose elsewhere.
Custom geometry
Wall thickness and overall length also affect how the sleeve sits once fitted.
Fit evaluation
Compare the internal dimensions along the sleeve rather than measuring one end alone.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; identification clear of folds and end connections.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
