Product Overview

Custom rubber protective legs tips can cover the ends of supporting legs and provide a rubber contact region beneath an item. Structure, material, dimensions, hardness and color can be selected for the application. The internal shape should match the leg end, while the base profile suits the surface on which the item stands.

Check the depth of engagement and any projection inside the leg. A tip can bottom internally before it reaches its intended position. Where several tips support one item, compare their working heights so replacement does not introduce rocking or uneven contact.

Keep grit from collecting beneath the tips, and avoid dragging a damaged edge across the surface. During inspection, look for wear through the base and movement around the leg end. Replace a loose or split tip with the matching profile rather than forcing a smaller opening over the leg or adding improvised packing that changes its support.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Compare firmness under load at the intended contact face. Replace a loose or split tip with the matching profile rather than forcing a smaller opening over the leg or adding improvised packing that changes its support.
Custom profile & fit
The internal shape should match the leg end, while the base profile suits the surface on which the item stands.
Assembly considerations
Check the depth of engagement and any projection inside the leg.
Design check
Where several tips support one item, compare their working heights so replacement does not introduce rocking or uneven contact.

End Cap Size Catalog

Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.

RSE End Caps

43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
