An NBR O ring creates a sealing contact when installed in a suitably designed mating arrangement. The ring dimensions and the surrounding groove work together to control its compression and location. Selecting a ring only by whether it can stretch around a component leaves those essential details unresolved.
For an oil-sealing application, identify the actual fluid and operating conditions before choosing the NBR formulation. Compatibility should not be generalized to every oil or chemical. The joint geometry must also suit whether the contact remains stationary or experiences movement, since installation and working demands differ.
Inspect the groove and entry path for edges that could nick the ring. Fit it without twisting or trapping debris, and check that the mating components close without displacing it. Waterproof or dustproof performance belongs to the complete sealed joint and must be evaluated accordingly. When a connection is opened for service, examine the ring for flattening, cuts, or swelling, and investigate the underlying fit or exposure if similar damage recurs after replacement.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
