A suction cup with nipples has a projecting connection that needs to work with the flexible cup below it. The connection's position should allow the cup lip to lie naturally against its intended surface. Custom size, material and color can be selected so the attachment geometry and the available contact area suit the same assembly.
Before mounting, establish how the nipple is used in the selected design. Its name alone does not define a hose connection, mounting hole or fitting size. Match the actual interface and keep surrounding parts from tilting the cup away from its sealing plane. The connected arrangement should leave room for the cup body to settle without a rigid feature pressing into it.
Clean the lip and contact surface, then evaluate retention under the intended direction and duration of use. Check the nipple area for distortion as well as inspecting the perimeter. An apparently secure attachment above the cup does not compensate for an interrupted seal below it. For repositioning, release the cup before moving the connected item, and examine the projecting feature for tearing before the next installation.
