Why will a suction cup not stay on a surface?
Check whether the rim can make continuous contact. Roughness, curvature, dust and surface damage can leave an air path. The mounting angle and direction of force also matter. Clean the contact area and evaluate the cup on the actual surface rather than assuming all glass or plastic is equivalent.
When would I choose a bellows suction cup?
A bellows body provides movement between the mounting point and contact face. This can be useful when the pickup position or surface height varies. The folded section needs room to compress and extend without rubbing adjacent hardware or losing alignment.
Does a larger suction cup always hold more weight?
Diameter alone does not establish capacity. Effective contact area, pressure difference, rim leakage and load direction all affect the result. Use the actual surface and vacuum arrangement to evaluate holding, movement and release under the intended conditions.
How do screw-mounted cups differ from cups with a hole?
A screw-mounted cup connects to matching hardware, while a hole may provide an attachment or a designed vacuum passage. Confirm the intended role and dimensions of the connection. Tightening the hardware must not distort the cup or obstruct the flexible contact region.

Check the actual surface, load direction and expected holding time with the selected cup. A metal screw or fitting on the cup describes its attachment hardware, not proof that its rim will hold on every metal surface.
